Establishing the Ancient Egypt Internet research database, why?
When I first got interested in Ancient Egypt, not long ago in 1998, Internet still was pretty much in its infancy. Although there were already websites, dealing with the topic, there really wasn’t that much to be found.
Over the years, that has obviously changed and pretty much anything you want to know about Ancient Egypt, can be found on the World Wide Web.
If you know where to look, that is!
A lot of information is readily available, but sometimes it is pretty well hidden on one of the millions of websites, dealing with the subject.
It goes without saying that most of the information I tried to find has been stored in my “favourites” folder, but even I get lost sometimes going through them.
That is why I decided to create a website, for all the world to see, that eventually will contain links all available pages with information on Ancient Egypt and, also very important, links to pages that deal with the history of more recent Egypt and the history of Egyptology.
However, this website will never be complete, as new pages pop up every day. That is why this project will never be completely finished and in need of all the help it can get.
Soon, a special contact form will become available for our audience to use, whenever they feel the need to helps, sending new (or changed) links.
Enjoy (and please, participate).
